Power Sports - Christmas clip 2013

This clip was shot for the client Power Sports in Münster, Germany. Power Sports is a fitness company with three studios. The aim was to create a clip for the christmas time in 2013 to wish everybody a merry christmas.

It was possible to convince the client to shot this little piece with the 5D Mark III and the Magic Lantern Raw Module. So it was my first client project shot completely in Raw with the Canon DSLR.

It was shot onto 1000x CF Cards, which were copied to a external drive once they were fully loaded. We took about 160 gb of footage during one shooting day. Expect 1 or 2 reboots for the Camera everything worked out very good.

We used only the given light in the kitchen studio. It was great because the roof was made out of milk laminated glass - so we had superb light in there. A reflector was used in some shots.

The Magic Lantern Raw Files were converted to Cinema DNG with RAWMagic on the Mac. A basic grading was done in After Effects - i went for a neutral look. Afterwards everything was exported to ProRes 4444 and edited within Premiere CS6. The final cut was graded back in After Effects with the use of adjustment layers and Color Finesse.
