Young children's love of sport is often dictated by how they otherwise play. This has been correlated to the idea of fun and them having fun. But our execution or brand of fun has not produced the same results as their own.
So how do we make sports experience more resemble young children's play-based scenarios so that they will respond how we'd expect? Can we continue to teach them sports in traditional fashion, unlike the ways young children play, and blindly expect they will learn anything let alone have fun.
Through the use of things like advanced technology, cartoon animation, a new sports language, training aids and safe and intimate sports settings that include parents it is possible. At Jelly Bean Sports, we kindly refer to it as sports reimagined. It is when children participate more willingly, confidently and comfortably. And most importantly, it is when they, in the end, learn more faster.
Like Sesame Street, the reimagining of the early learning sports experience is a product of the Jelly Bean Sports DNA. Through instruction, production and research, we aim to lead the way in building a better general understanding for early learners' place inside the athletic talent development.
