#TBT I was commissioned by The New York Times in 2016 to illustrate a re-imagining of Norman Rockwell's 1948 Saturday Evening Post cover 'The Dugout' and update it with the current Chicago Cubs (from left) Kyle Schwarber, Joe Maddon (manager), Jake Arrieta, Javier Baez and Kris Bryant. In the stands, note Cleveland Indians fans Tom Hanks and LeBron James. (This version is updated with famous Cubs fan ‘The Pink Hat Guy’ Jim Anixter, a fan commissioned me to include for a print.) The prediction was the Cleveland Indians would win the World Series, however Chicago defied the odds and won in game 7!
